On Tuesday last week it was raining on and off but I really wanted to go outside so Mummy decided we would have a wet weather walk! A friend loaned me a perfect raincoat for the winter (because no-one in her family is the right size for it at the moment) and so I was all prepared to find some puddles. Walking outside is one of my favourite things to do right now. We walked up and down our street and around to the laneway, and I only fell over a few times even though the cobblestones are very bumpy! And then when we got back to our house my milk was right on the front step where I left it.

what fun you are having Daniel!love from gran
This was an excellent adventure. I see some promising looking puddles there, but you may need gumboots to do justice to those. We'll see when I come to visit in ten days time.

Daniel, when I look at these picture's I can't help thinking of Beatrix Potter's 'Jemima Puddle-Duck'. I'm not sure how pertinent this story is though.
Mummy might be able to find a copy of it at the library and read it to you.
(By the way, she also wrote about Tom Kitten.)
Lots of love from Grandma Ruth xx.
