New Zealand (part 2)

We caught the very very bumpy ferry from Picton to Wellington, on the North Island. Our hotel room had a little kitchen and I enjoyed playing with some of the utensils while Aunty Ferg cooked! And we had fun in Rotorua too, even though I found the steam coming out of the ground very strange.

In Napier we did an Art Deco walking tour, looking at all the 1930s buildings. Well, I guess only Mummy, Daddy and Aunty Ferg looked at the buildings – I was a bit tired and sneaked in a nap instead. But I still got a sticker. And I charmed the nice lady at the Art Deco shop with my best smile and she gave me a Napier earthquake badge as well!

Finally we got up to Auckland to hang out with Grandad. I loved crawling round on the carpet in his apartment - the step to his lounge room is where I learned to go backwards down stairs! I also got to visit Grandad's office at the university and check out some of his books while wearing his official Hawaii conference lei. Do you think I could pass for a philosopher?
