Day care

I had my second orientation morning at day care yesterday. I'm going to go and play there every Friday from next week. It's 10 minutes walk from my house (when Mummy's walking – it's longer at my speed), right next to RMIT and near the library. And it's very popular – I have been on the waiting list there since before I was born!

I went for the first time the week before last, and when Mummy and I sat on the floor in my room I zoomed straight over to the cool climbing frame. Mummy had thought I would need more cuddles but there was a little slide and mats to climb on and holes to crawl through and the slide was short enough that I could go down head first! (I'm never allowed to do that at the park.) I was so happy that Mummy was encouraged to pop out for half an hour while I had my lunch – which I ate all by myself!

Yesterday I went earlier and Mummy and I had a little play with the blocks and the cars before Mummy left and I had my nap. It took me a while to fall asleep in a new cot but I didn't cry at all and slept for almost an hour! I enjoyed playing in the inside sand area too before I had lunch and Mummy came back to take me home.

Today there was a social morning and I took Daddy so he could see where I'll be hanging out on Fridays. I didn't mind the puppet show but was more interested in the cheese cubes and biscuits at the back of the room. And Boston bun as well! Yum. Daddy also got to meet my friend C – she comes to Mothers Group and is at day care on Fridays too, and we even have exactly the same birthday! But after all that I have been pretty tired tonight and am ready for a nice big sleep. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
