Diego country

I really liked exploring in the jungle! It was just like where Diego lives. Check out the big tree with the hole in it – I wonder who lives there? And I enjoyed chatting with Mummy Turtle, who lived in the pond near our cabin.

The boat trips in Tortuguero weren't my favourite. I loved it when the boat went FAST, but when it went slowly and we were just looking at animals it was a bit boring. Luckily I had some toys and little presents to keep me busy.

But the beach was a different story. I loved being on the beach! I liked seeing the turtle tracks, watching the waves, getting my feet wet and then running away when the waves kept coming! I did some digging and made my own tracks too.

The monkeys were my favourite animals – howler monkeys especially. Alex in Sarapiqui taught me how to call a howler monkey, and then in Cahuita I looked for them using my telescope. They were everywhere there! I got to see monkeys close up at the Jaguar Rescue Center too. Not to mention sloths and snakes! Now that we're home I really love my slothie magnet and t-shirt.

Did I mention my friend frog? We did some hanging out together at the Ranario in Cahuita. That's when I wasn't doing some hanging out of my own. Or hanging out with the crabs who lived all around our cabin. One crab tried to eat one of my Dora playing cards! He tried dragging it down into his hole but it was too big. But he took a couple of big bites!
