Last weekend we went to Rhythm of Africa at
Werribee Zoo. I saw lions and rhinoceroses and African wild dogs (which I decided were a bit like tigers) and even touched an
eland's horn! We saw a mummy hippo and her baby (and some hippo sculptures that were fun to climb) and then got on a safari bus to head out to the plains. No tigers here either, but some kudus and bison and other animals that had me standing up in my seat!

After we returned safely from the savannah we sat in the African Village and ate some yummy tagine and spicy chicken. I even ate some of the super-hot lentils! I enjoyed the
music too but was a bit tired and actually fell asleep while we were dancing near the stage (despite the volume). I hope we can go again next summer when I can stay up a bit later! Ben is good at staying up late and he loved lying on the picnic rug and bopping along.
