Sunshine and swans

Back in Beantown! There are a lot of things for 3.5 year olds to do in Boston – I don't remember anyone mentioning the swan boats last time I was here! I really liked the swans and the lake and the lawn at the Public Garden. And the handrails outside the MFA! I went there on a funny bumpy sqeaky green tram/train in my brand new Bob the Builder costume. Pretty cool, huh? My favourite thing was the Japanese woodblock print of a man with a bat tattoo on his FACE! I think he must have been some sort of superhero.

I loved the Children's Museum too, especially the climbing frame made from ramps and ropes that stretched up THREE STOREYS! They had attendants stationed on each floor at the emergency exits/escape routes, but I was still able to do some good hiding.

Even our hotel had fun things to do. We ate breakfast each morning in the third floor roof garden, usually bagels and bananas but sometimes chocolate ice cream! The garden had rocks for jumping on and hiding behind and great climbing trees.

On our last day we admired the reflecting pool and the fountains at the Mother Church and followed all the signs and clues to the Mapparium, but it was unexpectedly closed! Next time... (after I have another turn on a swan boat).
