Mummy and I sat at the computer together and chose these photos to share of our trip to the zoo last Monday. Before we went, Mummy asked me what animals I wanted to see, and I said TIGERS! And line-ins (that's lions to you). And elephants. And what else, Mummy asked? Worms, I said. And fish. Well, we saw three of the five! We were going full steam ahead to the tigers, because they go to sleep at 4.30, when we heard a loud noise – ROAR! Lions! We zoomed up the lion ramp and there were FOUR lions all awake! Two of the lions were lying down, and two were walking around and talking to each other. They might have been disagreeing because their ROARS got louder and louder. It was very exciting! Lions might be my equal favourite animal now.
We did catch the tiger before bed time, then I waved goodbye to him and went to ride on an elephant – just a little one. And on our way out, when we were just near the lion ramp, we heard those ROARS again! From the top of the ramp we could see that the third lion had stopped for a rest, but the fourth lion was still pacing and roaring. Hmmm. I do a bit of roaring sometimes when I get hungry. Maybe it was time for his dinner too?
