Daddy in the city

Usually I think that when people aren't in the same place as me, or when they jump over the back fence (usually this is Harry), that they've "gone home". But ever since we visited Daddy at his office last week I know that there are other possibilities. Now if Mummy asks me on a weekday where Daddy is, I know to say that he's not at home – he's at work!

I was very excited to catch the train into the city and meet Daddy for lunch (almost as excited as I was to wear my new monkey jumper). His building has lots of lifts and escalators and windows. I got to sit at his desk and watch a boat go past on the river outside!

To eat, we went down to the concourse and sat on funny round green couches that were excellent for climbing. My big orange lizard did lots of jumping off the top. And now during the day I often tell Mummy that Daddy's at work, in his office. I can't wait to visit him again!
