Yakkety yak

On my birthday weekend I experienced two of my favourite things, trucks and phones, in a whole new way! A giant truck arrived across the road because S (who's the same age as me) and his Mummy and Daddy are having their house restumped. And I got to sit in it! It was so high off the ground that the seats were taller than Mummy. I loved steering the truck and also crawling behind the seats to see the little sleeping space that S's uncle can use when he's on a long trip.

And I've finally worked out why everyone holds the phone up to their ears - people's voices are in there! I'm still a bit shy about talking into the phone, but I've discovered how much fun it is to listen to people talking to me even when I can't see them anywhere! So thank you if you've had a phone chat with me. I will work on talking back!

Speaking of which, I have more and more to say each day! I have known for ages what lots of words mean, but now I'm saying them too. In mid-December I had about 5 words, and in the month between then and last Wednesday (when I went back to speech therapy) I said 27 new words! Jenny was extremely impressed. And since Wednesday I've said another 12 new words! I can imitate even more sounds, too. So my language is really taking off. Hooray! (And hooray is a word I can say, along with sticker, rubbish truck, and Diesel, my favourite train!)
