Down on the farm

What a busy week I've had! Daddy went back to work on Tuesday (hooray for the Easter long weekend!) so Mummy and I went into the city to the Home Show. I think I liked the train trip the best! Then on Wednesday we had our first Mother's Group meeting - the local council organizes this for first-time parents to meet each other and find out about local activities and support for babies. I was one of the older babies at 12 weeks, but we ranged from 14 weeks down to 2 weeks. Mum says I used to be that small, but I don't think that could be true. I sat next to Chloe, whose parents were in the same prenatal class as mine! She has better hair than me, though - straight orange hair about 2 inches long and sticking up all over. I loved it! I hope we can sit with her again next week.

On Friday I went to the doctor so that Mummy could ask about my nappy rash. It's not really bothering me but it's been there for more than a week so Daddy and Mummy thought it was worth getting checked out. We have some new cream to try now so hopefully I'll be back to looking glamorous in no time! To kick off the weekend we all went to the Collingwood Children's Farm with Aunty Mary. My first farm! I sat on a hay bale with Mummy and had a feed while Daddy and Aunty Mary cruised round the farmer's market and got buffalo sausages for everyone. Mummy made me wear my hat while I was feeding because it was quite sunny, but it felt strange and I did my best to shake it off. I'll do better at that once I figure out my hands.

We saw lots of animals at the farm - cows, sheep, ducks and lots of different chooks. I'm glad there's such a nice farm right in the city! At the end of our visit we walked through St Helier's Convent next door but by then I was tired out and fast asleep!

I used to take my twins there and they just loved the farm especially the pigs. Enjoy many more visits there, Daniel. Love Libby and Colin
