Mmmm sticky tape

A few weeks ago we did some cool school holiday activities at Fed Square – featuring sticky tape! First* we went to Paper Planet, where Gran traced round my body and then Ben and I decorated the picture. I did the face and the sun (above my right arm, drawn just like a friend showed me at daycare!). I did the toes too – ten, same as me.



Then we went down to the main part, with lots of cardboard trees and strange things and enough masking tape for everyone! I made an alien-killing weapon and a boulder, and Ben did lots of hiding in the bottom of the trees.

After lunch we had a turn at making something for the Utopia cardboard city at ACMI. I didn't use any of the templates but instead constructed one of my specialties, a telescope. Can you see where it got positioned, on the left side of the island? I think it will help the people who live in those houses look at the stars.


*Well actually first we saw some giant puppets, but I didn't like them. They were scary. If you saw a giant eye blink and move towards you I think you'd scream too. Maybe when I'm older.
