Anyway, I wish you a very happy New Year - 2007 is the only year I've seen so I'm hoping 2008 is just as wonderful! See you there.

Happy New Year!
Whoops! Mummy has been having technical difficulties with posting photos and hasn't had time to sort them out with all the excitement of my first ever Christmas. So it's been a little while since I've been able to tell you what I've been doing - and so much has happened! Here's the entry I've been trying to post for a couple of weeks, and Mummy will help me catch up on everything else soon.
Look who I got together with! When I first saw Santa at Barkly Square I was really scared but he was fine with just exchanging waves while I sat on the floor nearby. He gave me a present and explained that he's so busy in the city he can seem a bit brisk, but when he's able to get to Brunswick he finds he's much more relaxed. He happened to be at Barkly Square again the next day when I was there, and we exchanged waves again, and by that afternoon I felt like I could be ready to sit on his knee. And I did it! The photographer was nice too, and we decided to go with this "somewhat concerned" photo rather than the "terrified" or "about to burst into tears" ones.

Hey, didn't I tell you Grandma's placemats were tasty! And they're not the only things I've enjoyed eating. I've had a few goes at using the spoon myself at mealtimes - how fun! You can see how proud I am of my efforts. Mummy helped me scoop up some food and then gave me the spoon. And I put it straight in my mouth! Well, mostly. Once I dragged it over my hair first. And once I grabbed it really hard and flicked sweet potato behind me halfway up the sideboard. But sometimes I did what Mummy does and put the spoon in the bowl to pick up some food. My technique needs a little work but I've got the principle down!
Anyway, I wish you a very happy New Year - 2007 is the only year I've seen so I'm hoping 2008 is just as wonderful! See you there.
